Model United Nations
Model United Nations is one of the most effective intellectual preparation environments a Sixth Form student can experience. Representing a country, navigating a position paper, responding to live debate, and building coalitions under pressure — these are skills that A-Level study alone does not develop.
White Oak students participate in MUN as both delegates and, as they progress, in leadership roles within the conference structure. Participation prepares students for the collaborative, high-stakes environments of university seminars, professional negotiation, and international institutions.
What students develop:
- Structured argumentation and position-building
- Research into geopolitics, international law, and policy
- Confidence in public advocacy and live rebuttal.
- Collaborative diplomacy under procedural rules
WHO IT SUITS
Students with an interest in law, international relations, economics, politics, history, or any field requiring persuasive written and spoken communication.
